On August 15th, Treyarch and Microsoft attended the Gamescom convention in Germany and showed off the live streaming, CoDCasting, features of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. In case you missed that live stream, you can now find it in it’s entirety here. Skip to about the 15:15 mark to get to the beginning of the actual gameplay, the beginning is just the trailer running over and over again.
Some interesting things to note about this live stream, the game now includes multi-team team deathmatch. That means that instead of just 2 teams of 6, you can now play with up to 18 players on more than 2 teams. This video showcases mostly 3 v 3 v 3 v 3, but they do talk about the mode a little more later on and confirm that you can have up to 18 people in a match. Along with that, you can also have round based Domination, meaning that once a round is over it doesn’t dump you into a lobby, it starts a new round, kind of like “Demolition”.
We’re definitely looking forward to running our own CoD Casts here. It’s amazing all of the cool things the tool allows you to do and you can be sure we’re going to take advantage of that.
